Privacy Policy

Brushie is designed for children and the parents or guardians who support them. Privacy is part of the product: the app works without an account, advertising, or third-party analytics.

Who operates Brushie

Brushie is operated by Michael J. Amore in California, United States. This policy covers the Brushie iOS app and this website at brushie.app.

Information that stays on the device

Brushie stores Child Profiles locally on the family’s device. A Child Profile may include a display name, an optional photo selected through Apple’s system photo picker, theme and mascot choices, routine settings, brushing history, streaks, and earned Sparkle Stickers.

This information is used only to provide the app’s brushing experience. Brushie does not require a parent or child account, and this local information is not uploaded to Brushie servers.

Information Brushie does not collect

  • No child or parent email address, phone number, or account details.
  • No precise location, contacts, advertising identifier, or device fingerprint.
  • No Child Profile name, photo, artwork, prompt, or other child-created content.
  • No advertising data and no third-party analytics data.

Product analytics

The current app does not transmit Product Analytics. Brushie will not enable future analytics collection until this policy is updated and the app provides parents or guardians with a clear, optional, default-off consent choice. Declining analytics will not limit local app features.

Purchases

Apple processes App Store purchases and subscriptions. Brushie receives transaction and entitlement status from Apple to determine whether paid access is active, but does not receive or store full payment-card details. Apple’s handling of purchase information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

Printing and photos

If a parent or guardian selects a profile photo, Apple’s photo picker provides only the selected image to Brushie. Printing a coloring page uses Apple’s system print interface. Brushie does not receive information about other photos or the printer.

This website

The public Brushie website does not use accounts, forms, advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. Like most web hosting infrastructure, the server and network provider may temporarily process basic request information—such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and time—to deliver and protect the site.

Sharing and selling

Brushie does not sell personal information. Brushie does not share child personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or third-party analytics providers.

Deletion and parental choices

A parent or guardian can edit a Child Profile, remove its photo, or delete the profile in the app. Deleting a Child Profile removes the profile and its locally stored brushing history, settings, and rewards from that device. Removing the app deletes its local app data, subject to Apple’s device backup behavior.

Security and retention

Brushie limits information to what is needed for the app to work. Local profile data remains on the device until it is changed, deleted, or the app’s data is removed. Reasonable safeguards are used for the website and any information processed to operate it, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Brushie’s features or practices change. The effective date above will change when a revision is published. If a material change affects information from children, Brushie will provide any notice or parental choice required by applicable law before the new practice begins.

Contact

Privacy questions and parental requests may be sent through the developer contact option on Brushie’s App Store product page.
