Terms & Conditions

These terms govern use of the Brushie iOS app and the public website at brushie.app. A parent or guardian should review them before allowing a child to use Brushie.

Agreement and adult supervision

By downloading, purchasing, or using Brushie, you agree to these terms. Brushie is designed for children ages 2–7, but the customer is the parent or guardian who controls the device and any purchase. Children should use Brushie with appropriate adult supervision.

What Brushie provides

Brushie provides a guided toothbrushing routine, visual and spoken cues, local brushing records and streaks, Child Profiles, and collectible rewards. Features may change as the app is improved.

Not medical or dental advice

Brushie is an educational routine aid, not a medical device and not a substitute for professional dental advice, diagnosis, treatment, or adult supervision. Follow the advice of your child’s dentist, including advice about technique, timing, toothpaste, and frequency. Contact a qualified professional with health concerns.

Free Access Period and subscriptions

Brushie may provide one app-wide 168-hour Free Access Period beginning when the first eligible Brushing Session is completed. When it ends, an active Brushie Subscription may be required to start new Brushing Sessions. One subscription covers the Child Profiles in that app installation; it is not a separate subscription for each profile.

Available plans, prices, billing periods, and any savings are shown in the app before purchase. Subscriptions are auto-renewable and are billed by Apple to the customer’s Apple Account. They renew unless canceled through Apple at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple handles payment, renewal, cancellation, refund, and billing-retry processes under its terms. Restore Purchases and Manage Subscription options are provided through Apple’s systems.

Family data and privacy

Brushie is intended for one family’s use. Child Profile data, brushing history, photos, settings, and rewards are stored locally on the device. You are responsible for device access and backups. Please review the Privacy Policy for details.

Acceptable use

You may use Brushie for personal, noncommercial family use. You may not copy, sell, rent, reverse engineer, interfere with, or misuse the app or website except where applicable law expressly permits it. Brushie’s code, artwork, audio, names, and other content remain protected by intellectual property law.

Availability and changes

Brushie may be updated, changed, suspended, or discontinued. Some features depend on compatible Apple hardware, software, App Store services, or network availability. No promise is made that every feature will always be available or error-free.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Brushie is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, the operator of Brushie is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the app or website. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as Brushie changes. The effective date above identifies the latest version. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept them, where permitted by law.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer law requires otherwise. Questions may be sent through the developer contact option on Brushie’s App Store product page.
